But before we get started, remember that this guide will only work for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch OLED; it will not work on the Nintendo Lite.
How to Connect Nintendo Switch to TV?
Connecting your Nintendo Switch to your TV is fairly easy; just follow the steps below.
Grab your dock and open the back.
The very first step is to grab your dock and carefully open the back of the dock.
Plug the USB-C (AC adapter) cable into the dock.
When you open your dock, you can now connect the USB-C (AC adapter) cable to the top terminal of your Nintendo Switch dock that is labeled “AC ADAPTER.” From there, plug the other end of the cable into a wall outlet.
Plug the HDMI cable onto the dock and TV.
Next up is to plug your HDMI cable into your dock. Once your HDMI cable is plugged into the dock, connect the other end of the cable to your TV.
Close the back of your dock and place your dock near your TV
Now, close the back of your dock and place the dock somewhere near your TV. It can be on the TV itself, a cabinet, a table, etc., as long as it’s out of the way and near the TV.
Remove the Joy-Con Controllers
After setting up the dock, grab your Nintendo Switch and slide off the Joy-Con controllers.
Put your Switch inside the dock.
After removing the controllers, place your Switch inside the dock.
Note: Make sure that you place your console in the dock with the screen of the Switch facing the front panel of the dock.
Turn on your Switch using the controllers.
Now, turn on or wake up your Switch using your controllers, and you’re all set! You can now use your Nintendo Switch on the big screen.
